Fellow Loons

I’ll start by thanking and congratulating Metal Mario(Gus). I’m sure you’ll all agree the 10 year anniversary Loons Masters Invitational was a tremendous success. Excellent location, great courses(except Shitekirk) good food, good drink, and most of all good company.
We unearthed a couple of gems this year with Craigielaw and the Glens at North Berwick.

Loons 2011 didn’t pass without hiccup of course, and from a personal point of view, trophy chop, and shoeless second round, were a couple of adversities to overcome. Not to mention a lack of real talent, and the inability to hit more than two fairways a round.

Congrats to all the trophy winners, mainly Duffy as he won most of them. And I think most importantly a pat on the back for every Loon for playing in the spirit of the Loons.

It’s a bit disappointing for all, I’m sure, that the golfing season is now over for another year. However should the desire outweigh the reluctance to broach the subject with the better halves, I will be organizing a mini Loons in honour of Duffy’s 40th some time in September.

I Would like to thank Loxley for his continued service as the Loons Treasurer. And Narna for is continued good work as Match Secretary, and would humbly request they continue to serve the Loons in these positions again for 2012.

Cheers again Loons, we are what makes it work. See you in 2012 if not before.
